Fabrication and Utilization of Different Types of Foods and Vegetables Dryer
Overall, the Green Chilly Dryer Machine production line manufactured by Gemtech is an efficient and effective solution for drying and processing green chilies for commercial use. It is designed to be easy to use, durable, and reliable, and can be customized to meet the specific needs of each customer. Energy efficient and with low water use, Refractance Window® drying preserves air quality in and around the drying facility because little product essence is lost.
A Shimadzu LC-2010A high-performance liquid chromatograph was used, which was programmed at a wavelength of 244 nm, flow rate 1 mL 0.2 M KH2PO4/min (pH 2.5) as mobile phase, injection volume of 20 µL, and run time of 15 min. Two grams of Refractance Window Dehydration Technology sample was weighed and diluted to a volume of 20 mL with 0.48% v/v acetic acid. Subsequently, it was taken to an ultrasonic cleaner for 15 min. The samples were filtered through 0.45 μm PVDF membrane and deposited in 2 mL amber vials.
To reduce nutritional loss and enhance the quality of dried food materials, pretreatments are commonly used with the drying method. The effects of chemical and osmosis pretreatment on dry SPs' nutritional and bioactive properties are summarized below and in Table 3. A continuous vacuum belt drying system was developed so that the product moves along the belt under a vacuum and is heated by conduction or radiation .
The physicochemical properties are essential indicators used in assessing the various drying techniques of dried meat. To add value and retain the health benefits in selected fruits from the Pacific Northwest region by using novel extraction, evaporation and drying methods to produce concentrates or powders. Energy requirements of any unit operation are crucial in the industry perspective. In this regard, the thermal efficiency of an RW drying system is usually in the range of 52–77%, which are values comparable to drum drying . RW has a comparable operational capacity with spray dryers and drum dryers, though these capacities are much lower than rotary dryers .
Under successive low radiation conditions, which could not be estimated by a model with RUE insensitive to radiation. Biodegradation kinetics of thin-stillage treatment by Aspergillus awamori and characterization of recovered chitosan. Offers a significant fuel replacement in transport sector especially in countries with large pulp and paper industry e.g. in Sweden, about 72% of motor gasoline and 40% of total motor fuel could be replaced. The model was validated for several surface states and several alloys. Kinetic modeling of sporulation and product formation in stationary phase by Bacillus coagulans RK-02 vis-Ã -vis other Bacilli.
Drying sweet potatoes using traditional methods such as sun or open-air drying was found to be a slow process that could result in a lower quality. Various advanced drying techniques, like vacuum, infrared, freeze drying, and pretreatments such as ultrasound and osmotic dehydration, have been developed and are successfully used globally. The best-fit thin-layer models (Hii, Page, two-term, logarithmic) utilized for drying SPs and appropriate modeling methods for optimizing drying procedures are also discussed. This technology is being applied to heat sensitive products such as fruits and vegetables in order to retain its various qualities and nutritional characteristics. In the refractance window dryer, the slurry of food product is placed over a thin infrared transparent film which serves as a window for drying. The product temperature is kept extremely low and the rapid drying occurs due to involvement of all three modes of heat transfer .
Our results show that the oxidation rate increases with the Ge concentration at the oxidation interface. Of olive oil mill wastes is a very complex physical process that depends heavily on aspects such as pieces of pit, pulp, skin, vegetation water, olive oil content, sugars and organics compounds of different nature. ¬er superheated steam at atmospheric pressure in the active hydrodynamic regimes were study¬ing. The rational intervals of parameter changes were obtained.

While dried meat has the probability of being harmful, in which this will be discussed on as safety challenges, numerous studies have reported various health benefits of dried meat . Similar to the health benefits of fresh meat, dried meat maintains the sought-after protein from fresh meat. This is also what makes dried meat popular as it is easier to store and usually in ready-to-eat packages for the convenience of consumers.
Thus, there is a strong need for developing alternative drying technologies considering operational capacity, process control, time requirements, cost economics, product quality, safety, and environmental aspects. In this regard, Refractance Window® is an emerging drying technique with a potentially positive impact on the food industry in terms of scalability, energy efficiency, cost, and end-product quality . Although RW drying is comparable with freeze drying and other low temperature drying methods in terms of physiochemical quality retention, it can also reduce microbial load in its dried products. In a study on RW drying of pumpkin puree from 80% to 5% moisture content which was completed in about 5 minutes (with water at 95ºC). RW drying of inoculated pumpkin purees resulted in 4.6, 6.1, 6.0, and 5.5 log reductions of total aerobic plate counts , coliforms, Escherichia coli, and Listeria innocua, respectively.
As a result, novel and inventive drying procedures have attracted considerable attention. It has been revealed that combining infrared and hot air-drying techniques (Figure 5E; Table 2) can increase energy efficiency and dried agricultural product's quality. However, research on its applicability to drying commercial crops, such as SPs, is limited because it is a new drying process. The only study conducted by Onwude et al. reported that combining IR and HAD techniques resulted in shorter drying times and lower energy consumption than HAD and IR dryers. Meanwhile, different combinations of IR + HAD substantially influenced the phytochemical characteristics of dried SPs, resulting in improvements in TFC, TPC, and DPPH.
