The story begins in Henty, in Victoria’s Far South West. Other than being a well-kept secret for a few insiders, this region has been relatively unknown for many years. These days, the word is out that it’s a hot spot for cool-climate wine production. We’re thrilled to introduce you to our wines and our story.
Ben Buckler Cellars is located at Ben Buckler Point in North Bondi. Bev Harris, affectionately & respectfully known has “The Matriarch of Bondi” opened the shop on her birthday on December 23rd 1992. After almost 30 years trading, she has decided to hand over the reins to her son Stephen, owner of all of our stores under the Neighbourhood Cellars umbrella. We look forward to continuing Bev’s legacy, servicing the Bondi community with friendly service, and love being located so close to Bondi Beach.

We always enjoy and openly celebrate the successes of our team mates and company. More recently, we have partnered with some established, iconic wine brands, who have decided to join us because they’ve seen something special in the way we operate and want to be part of it. We now represent an eclectic mix of passionate winemakers each with unique wines and stories to tell. We have been involved with many of our wineries from the very start of their journey. We proudly play our part in building our wines into important, highly sought after wine brands. We are constantly investing in our service platform and our Joval team to remain at the cutting edge.

Depending on the wine, you can experience anything from camphor and hazelnut, to cherries and rose petals. Different varieties give you different mixes of fruits and earthiness – black cherries, strawberries, tobacco, and even herbs and spices like star anise and black pepper. Different expressions of the same grape variety can also give you different palates.
