Longtian Elementary School has quite a few of these buildings and century-year old trees, which make the school appear like a forest elementary school.
Visit Liyu Mountain Park and head to the top for a majestic view of downtown Taitung. You can also just walk around to marvel at the scenery and the historic ruins around the area. Another attraction you should check out in the park is the Dragon and Phoenix Temple, which houses stone coffins and many other relics from the Neolithic era. With some of Taiwan's most beautiful coasts, mountains, valleys, etc., Taitung Seashore Park has grown to become a preferred travel destination of many tourists. It borders a breathtaking coastline that complements the magnificent view of the valleys and mountains in the distance. It is scantily populated, and so perfect for enjoying profound peace and tranquility.
From shorter to longer trails, some are harder than others. I recommend taking the one with all the stairs, tiring but you’ll be rewarded with an amazing view. The park is pleasant, with a lot of shadowy parts so, even during summer, it’s a nice place to go for a walk.
