Great place to spend an hour in an just walk around and soak the happy and chill atmosphere. Car park exit malfunctioned, called CS, the guy kept asking me if I had exceed the 15 min grace period VERY ROUGHLY, without any inclination of helping me. Very unpleasant first time experience to shopping mall. Small shopping mall with only 4 floors, perhaps less than a 1000sqm/floor. More sports and outdoors stuff than other brand.
It's not worth coming here, unless you just so happen to drive by it. There isn't a parking lot, only street side parking. There lots of other places to go to look at the ocean and this is just another one. Revisiting this so called “the most beautiful train 台東 伴手禮 Station”. The local government should put more efforts on decorating the station with more local cultural features to make it more outstanding and unique to attract more people. The surrounding environment indeed is gorgeous but lack of local cultures.

She studied in Europe and worked for several foreign companies in Taiwan. Now she has returned to her hometown to develop her business. Later, it was expropriated because of the road widening. There is only one small room left in the house.
Because the round-Taiwan train line also runs down this valley, this is the way most travelers go. The towns of Chishang, Guanshan, and Luye make perfect bases for cycling and exploring the region. A wonderfully maintained lighthouse and immaculately kept garden surrounding it.
Another artistic souvenir from Taitung is pottery and ceramics. Taitung is renowned for its pottery scene, with many skilled artisans creating stunning pieces inspired by the natural beauty of the region. Visitors can find a wide range of pottery items, from traditional teapots to modern tableware, all reflecting the artistic sensibilities of Taitung. These souvenirs not only make  for great gifts but also offer a glimpse into the rich artistic heritage of the city. These markets provide an excellent opportunity for visitors to source authentic handmade pottery and ceramics directly from the artisans.

One popular option is the Taitung Bali Suites Hotel, which offers modern rooms and amenities, as well as easy access to nearby attractions. Each tribe has its language, customs, and way of life. There are very few restaurants or shops in Luye, but there’s at least a 7-Eleven. For aboriginal cuisine, Bunun Leisure Farm has activity packages that include an aboriginal set meal. By car, the driving time from Hualien to Taitung is not so long, but with all the possible stops, it could easily become a 2 or 3-day road trip.
Travelers interested in prettier, emptier alternatives should take the 193 instead of the 9 as Nick recommends. If you are biking, it is about 90 kms from Hualien to Yuli. Take the Zhuofu Industry Road all the way to the 20A, then swing back to Guanshan on back roads, easily found on Google maps, then cross the 9 and head east of the 9 to the 197. The 197 is now paved along its length and is a lovely, almost empty road. Will involve some climbing if you are biking, but its much better than the 15 kms of gravel I did several years ago.

Apple computers, laptops, iPhones, iPads, and other parts, PCs, Asus, Acer, and all the other brands are sold here at highly competitive prices. A very important thing you should know is that the new Taitung train station is not downtown. It takes roughly 15 minutes to travel by bus or taxi between Taitung train station and the downtown area, which is kind of an annoyance. There is not much interesting around the new station, apart from the BeiBBBBBB Museum. Otherwise, if you’re looking for some fun during the week in Taitung City proper, well… good luck!

A Thai hammock not only serves as a functional piece of outdoor furniture but also as a vivid reminder of the tranquility and warmth of Thailand’s culture and its people. It’s as if one is bringing home a piece of the Thai leisurely lifestyle. Upon entering the cafe, my attention was immediately drawn to its intriguing name. This charming establishment offers ample indoor seating as well as some outdoor options, making it a pleasant place to relax and enjoy a warm beverage. The cafe welcomes pets, adding an extra touch of warmth and friendliness to the atmosphere.
I bought some tea, hot sauce and a few other souvenirs. It was clean and had lots of cute options to buy. From the new wavy top of the entrance to the new decoration of the station hall with ticket booth side and passenger waiting area, all gives the station a beautiful and modern look. Small train station but yet full of necessity.
